British Pie Awards

In 2009, we organised the first-ever British Pie Awards, launched to celebrate the art of the iconic British pie. By 2010, the number of entries increased by 40% to over 700 pies being sent from across the UK by professional pie-makers. We secured sponsorship from Colman’s Mustard in 2010 and put together prestigious panels of judges including Sheila Dillon, presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Food Programme, TV chef Phil Vickery, Julia Bradbury from Countryfile, TV chef Rosemary Shrager, food writers Charles Campion and Xanthe Clay. Media coverage includes the Today Programme, GMTV, the Financial Times, The Independent, and The One Show.
